Vehicles on NH attacked by Jharkhand Tuskers in Mayurbhanj

Baripada: On Sunday in the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha, an elephant attacked the automobiles on National Highway (NH) 49, causing chaos.
Sources claim that a herd of elephants moved to the area a few days ago by crossing the NH from neighbouring Jharkhand. In a panic, the locals have been attempting to drive the herd away and have alerted the Forest officials.
A tusker wandered off the herd on Sunday and made its way to the NH near Dwarasuni ghat in the district. He apparently became agitated by the horns and car horns because he became angry and started chasing them.
Additionally, it struck two buses leaving Baripada. Although the buses were destroyed, none of the passengers were seriously hurt in the incident.
Forest officers raced to the scene and chased the elephant away as vehicular traffic on the highway came to a complete stop. After the normalcy had been restored, the automobiles began to move.
