A youth in Odisha killed his parents and sister after days of sleeplessness and heated arguments.
The accused changed his clothes after the crime and later confessed to some neighbors.

A 22-year-old man allegedly killed his parents and sister with a heavy stone in the early hours of Tuesday in Jagatsinghpur district, Odisha, according to police.
The incident occurred in Jaybada village around 2:30 AM.
The deceased have been identified as Prashant Sethi (65), Kanaklata Sethi (62), and their daughter, Rosalin (25). The accused is their youngest son, Suryakant. Prashant worked as a daily wage laborer to support his family, while two of the couple's other sons live separately.
“The accused had frequent heated arguments with his family members over various issues. He told the police that he had been under severe stress for the past five to six days and had not been able to sleep properly. He also mentioned that his father had assaulted him after accusing him of using drugs, which resulted in the breaking of one of his teeth. It is possible that he committed this crime out of anger triggered by these incidents,” stated Jagatsinghpur Superintendent of Police Bhawani Sankar Udgata.
According to police sources, the accused changed his clothes after committing the crime and then confessed to it in front of some neighbors. The neighbors discovered the bodies lying in a pool of blood and informed the police around 3:30 a.m. The accused was apprehended at the scene and taken into custody. Senior police officers stated they were interrogating the suspect and had not yet found any indications of mental instability.
Neighbors reported that the accused was addicted to mobile games and often had arguments with his family.
He was reportedly getting ready to join the police force.
