Odisha has announced a 3% hike in dearness allowance for government employees.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced a 3% increase in dearness allowance (DA) for state government employees.
The dearness allowance (DA) for government employees has been increased from 50% to 53%, effective from July 2024. This increase will be reflected in their cash salaries starting from October. Additionally, the dearness allowance for pensioners, known as the TI, has also been raised by three percent, and this change will be reflected in their October pension. This adjustment is expected to benefit approximately 7.5 lakh state government employees and pensioners.
