Sidharth Routray, an Odia mountaineer, scales Mount Everest

Bhubaneswar: On Sunday, Odia mountaineer Sidharth Routray climbed Mt Everest, the world's highest peak. On that day, he reached the summit of Everest at 4.15 a.m.
To the peak, the ardent mountaineer carried a portrait of Lord Jagannath and waved the Indian flag.
Suresh Routray, the oldest son of Jatni MLA, has previously scaled the top three peaks on three continents: North America, South America, and Africa.
He has already climbed North America's Mt Dennali, South America's Mt Aconcagua, and Africa's Mt Kilimanjaro. Sidharth had successfully scaled Mount Aconcagua, South America's highest peak, in January of this year.
The young mountaineer wants to climb all seven continents' summits and fly the Indian tricolour and the flag of Puri Jagannath Temple.
He is also known as the first Odia Ultraman, having completed a 512-kilometer triathlon in which he swam 10 kilometres, cycled 418 kilometres, and ran 84 kilometres.
In 2016, Sidharth was named the first Ironman from Odisha after competing in a long-distance triathlon in Florida that included a 4 km swim, 180 km bike ride, and 42 km run.
Sidharth is currently residing in Silicon Valley, California, United States.
