Angul: On Thursday, one person was killed and two others were critically injured in a violent clash between members of two families over a land dispute in a village in Odisha's Angul district.

According to reports, the incident occurred in Badahinsar village, which is under the jurisdiction of the Jarpada police station in the district.

According to sources, the family members of Nabina Sahu and Raghunath Sahu have been fighting for a long time over a small piece of land measuring only one foot.

This morning, a new argument erupted over the issue, and members of both families clashed and fought a pitched battle with sticks and an axe.

While Nabina Sahu died on the spot after being axed, his wife Ashanti was critically injured. Similarly, Raghunath Sahu's son Babi was severely injured in the incident.

Both injured people were taken to the district headquarters hospital for treatment, and their conditions were described as critical.
