Two wildlife smugglers held with live pangolins in Boudh
On Wednesday evening, the Odisha police Special Task Force (STF) rescued two live pangolins and arrested two wildlife smugglers in the Boudh district.

Boudh: On Wednesday evening, the Odisha police Special Task Force (STF) rescued two live pangolins and arrested two wildlife smugglers in the Boudh district.
Uchhab Kanhar and Prasant Kumar Behera of Jamukhol village in the Boudh district's Baghiapada police station have been arrested.
They were apprehended near the Boudh bypass road, according to sources, after the STF team and forest officials raided the area on the basis of a tip-off about the wildlife trade. Two live pangolins weighing 13kg and 10kg, respectively, were recovered from their possession, along with other incriminating materials.
An official said that a case has been registered under Sections 379/411/120(B) of the IPC and Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act 1972, and that the accused will be sent to the SDJM court in Boudh, and that the live pangolins have been handed over to the DFO Boudh.
The Indian pangolin is listed on Schedule I of the Wild Life Protection Act of 1972.
