On Feb 6, universities and colleges in Odisha have been asked to reopen hostels

Bhubaneswar: On Friday, the Odisha Higher Education Department asked all state universities and degree colleges to begin steps to reopen student hostels and residential amenities on February 6.
The order was issued after the Odisha government stated on Thursday that schools, colleges, and other educational institutions would reopen on February 7.
State universities and degree institutions have been asked by the department to take all necessary steps to begin holding physical classes on February 7 in accordance with COVID-19 standards.
Beginning February 7, colleges and technical institutes will reopen. On this day, short-term training and skill development training centres will also reopen.
By implementing COVID-appropriate behaviour, all public universities and degree colleges in Odisha under the state Higher Education Department are already operating at full strength of staff as of February 1.
