A man who claimed to be the president of a 'ghosts' association was arrested by police in Odisha in connection with a decade-old murder case.

Bhubaneswar: A man who claimed to be the president of a 'ghosts' association was arrested by police in Odisha in connection with a decade-old murder case.
Bipin Kumar Routray, the accused, was apprehended in connection with a 2013 murder case. He was apprehended by a police team from his village.
Bipin recently made headlines for comments he made on social media. He has been clamoring at the president on behalf of over 40 lakh 'ghosts,' including some political leaders.
According to sources, up to three warrants have been issued against Bipin. Following a tip, a team of Sadar police officers arrested Routray from his home village today around 3 p.m.
His claims that he was in contact with more than 40 lakh ghosts went viral on social media.
In addition, the accused claimed that a deceased political leader had joined the ghost association he led. He also claimed that 'ghosts' will be visiting the Jharsuguda Assembly constituency, where a by-election is scheduled for May 10.
He also claimed that slain minister Naba Kishore Das, whose assassination prompted the Jharsuguda bypoll, was a member of the association.
While many have applauded his arrest, others have expressed concern about the delay in apprehending him.
