House catches fire in lightning strike in Jagatsinghpur, 3 critical

Jagatsinghpur: On Saturday, three members of a family were critically injured after their thatched house caught fire after being struck by lightning in a village in Odisha's Jagatsinghpur district's Kujanga block.
The fragile thatched house was destroyed in the early morning lightning strike at Barihadiha village in the district's Kujanga block.
According to authorities, an elderly woman and her two sons were critically injured in the lightning-caused fire.
All of the injured have been transported to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, where their condition is described as critical.
It should be noted that severe thunderstorms and lightning strikes hit several parts of Odisha yesterday and early this morning. Nor'wester rain also fell on the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. Several houses in various areas were said to have been damaged.
