Youth killed, three critical in Aska In Post-Poll Clash

Berhampur: On Saturday night, one person was murdered and three others were injured in a conflict between two groups in Odisha's Ganjam district's Aska block.

Bulu Swain was recognised as the dead. The injured were taken to Aska hospital, where one of them was later transferred to Berhampur MKCG.

The police said the altercation was related to the recent panchayat elections.

Several episodes of violence occurred in Ganjam district before of the panchayat elections. In January, a competing gang attacked them on their way to file nomination papers in Ramachandrapur panchayat, injuring at least six people.

Three people were injured in violent fights between two factions from Mundamarai hamlet on January 18.
