Rayagada: On Thursday, police detained two men and a woman for interrogation in connection with the death of a photographer in this town.
The deceased, Bobila Raju, was discovered hanging in a room of his home in Rayagada's Kapilash Road area on Wednesday.
Raju's parents and brother discovered the body with several injuries after they came home in the evening after a three-day trip to Parbatipur for work, according to sources.
They quickly alerted their neighbours and notified the authorities.
Raju was kidnapped and subsequently murdered, according to his relatives. Raju's father told the media that an unknown person had called him on his phone and informed him that his son had been kidnapped. On Tuesday, at 1 a.m., I received a call. According to him, the caller requested a ransom of Rs 30,000 for Raju's release.
“The perpetrators murdered my son elsewhere and carried his body to our home, where they hung him from the ceiling,” the father explained.
The body has been sent for a post-mortem and an investigation has commenced, according to police.
