Police, SFSL asked to share reports about seized devices

Bhubaneswar: Archana Nag is reportedly refusing to cooperate with the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which has been questioning her for four days in connection with the revenues of the sextortion scheme that stunned Odisha.
While her lawyer stated that she will answer all questions presented by the ED, sources indicate that she is disclosing a lot in the investigation launched against her for amassing large riches by blackmailing affluent and prominent people while also running a sex racket.
While being transported to the ED office on a seven-day remand, Archana stated that he was waiting for the ED to take her into custody and that he would completely help in the investigation. She also claimed to have "unique evidence" against certain persons that will shake the state.
Meanwhile, a court in Bhubaneswar has ordered the State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL) and the Bhubaneswar police to disclose with the ED the reports on the content of the devices seized in connection with the honeytrap scheme.
According to insiders, the agency went to court after it was unable to obtain ownership of the devices confiscated by the police.
Notably, after Archana's arrest on October 6, police recovered four mobile phones, two tablets, a laptop and pen drives, and passbooks from her Satya Vihar home. When her husband Jagabandhu Chand was detained on October 21, four more mobile phones, a laptop, and other documents were taken.
Police were chastised for taking so long to seize Jagabandhu's electronic devices, as it is feared that he destroyed vital information contained on them. Despite the fact that the electronic devices were sent to SFSL for investigation, they have so far remained silent on the content.
