Odisha Governor, CM pay last respects to Health Minister Naba Das

Bhubaneswar: On Monday, Governor Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, and a large number of dignitaries and political leaders from all parties paid their respects to Health Minister Naba Kishore Das at his official residence in Odisha's capital.
The minister died the day before from bullet wounds sustained after being shot at by a police officer in Brajarajnagar, Jharsuguda district.
The Governor and the CM consoled members of the bereaved family.
State Honor was also bestowed upon the late minister. Hundreds of people paid their respects to the minister's departed soul after his body was taken to the BJD party office. His mortal remains will be flown in a chopper to his hometown of Jharsuguda for cremation, where he will be given a state funeral.
As a mark of respect for the late minister, the Odisha government declared a three-day state mourning from January 29 to January 31. "The national flag will be flown at half-mast in the state capital on the day of death and at the location of the funeral," the notification stated.
