Odia singer Human Sagar lands in trouble, wife lodges complaint for ‘domestic violence’

Cuttack: Humane Sagar, an Odisha-based playback singer, is embroiled in a divorce battle after his wife accused him of domestic violence.
According to sources, his wife, Shriya Mishra, met the Cuttack DCP Pinak Mishra on Tuesday, stating that Humane has been neglecting her and torturing her physically and mentally for the past few months. According to her allegation, he would even hit her while under the influence of alcohol.
"Last night, singer Humane Sagar's wife filed a domestic assault complaint against her husband. The police station in Mahila has been notified of the complaint. The pair will be taken to the police station for counseling first, according to the DCP on Wednesday.
Following the violence, his wife allegedly fled their CDA Sector-6 apartment and has been staying with her father in Balasore, according to the sources.
Humane married Shriya, another Voice of Odisha Season 2 contestant, in 2017, and they have a baby girl.
Last year, the popular Odia film industry vocalist sparked outrage when music director Debashis Mallick aka Japani said he refused to sing Lord Jagannath bhajans.
