Naveen's Cabinet soon to reshuffle
Bhubaneswar: On Saturday, all of the state's ministers resigned, and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's Cabinet is expected to be reshuffled on Sunday (June 5).
According to reliable sources, the Chief Minister's office has instructed the ministers to submit their resignations to the Chief Minister as soon as possible. As a result, Speaker Surjya Narayan Patra filed his papers, followed by a slew of ministers, according to the sources.
On Sunday at 11.45 a.m., Governor Ganeshi Lal Raj Bhawan will administer the oath to the new ministers. The distribution of portfolios to the new Cabinet Ministers during the oath-taking ceremony, however, has yet to be confirmed, according to sources.
Because the Chief Minister is leaving on a foreign trip on June 20, it is assumed that he intends to restructure his ministry before he leaves. According to insiders, he will travel to Rome and Dubai.
In addition, the Assembly's Budget Session is set to begin on June 22.
On May 29, the BJD government completed three years of its fifth term in office.
