Nabarangpur: At least four people were killed late Friday after their automobile collided with a roadside tree in Odisha's Nabarangpur district's Dabugaon police limits.

Md Sadam, Rabin Hial, and Saban Hial of Gaduagada Sahi and Ansar Khan have been identified as the deceased.

According to accounts, the accident occurred late at night while five people were returning to Nabarangpur from Umerkote. Three of them were killed on the scene.

The local police recovered the bodies after they were told. Another individual died as a result of the injuries while receiving treatment at S L N Medical College & Hospital in Koraput. The other injured person's condition is described as critical.

"We learned of the disaster at 1 a.m. "Three people perished on the spot," said Pramod Nayak, a senior police official.

The specific cause of the car crash remains unknown. However, authorities believe the accident was caused by overspeeding or poor vision due to fog.

Furthermore, the owner of the ill-fated car had lately sold it to another person. A sticker with the word 'press' was discovered on the car's windscreen. It is unknown whether or not any journalists were in the automobile.
