Rayagada: On Friday, a woman was allegedly beaten to death by her husband in a village in Odisha's Rayagada district.
According to sources, the incident occurred in D Karal village, which is under the jurisdiction of Tikiri police station. The accused, who goes by the name Maliki Majhi, thrashed his wife Safai Majhi in a rage after a verbal duel.
The two were said to have had a heated argument about something, after which the man allegedly killed his wife.
After being notified, a police team rushed to the scene and seized the body, which was then sent for a post-mortem examination.
In connection with the incident, the woman's husband and two others have been arrested. As part of the investigation, they are being questioned.
