Tragically, an 18-year-old woman named Preeti Behera lost her life after being swept away while attempting to cross a bridge over a canal in Angul district. Her body was subsequently recovered on Wednesday. Separately, in Jagatsinghpur district, a man was also swept away by a river amidst heavy rainfall in Odisha on Wednesday, as reported by the police.
