He expressed his regret and apologized to the parents of students studying at KIIT University, assuring them of the students' safety. In the video, accompanied by students and two officials from the Embassy of Nepal, Dr. Samanta said:

"My dear KIITians from Nepal, this is your Samanta sir speaking from Bhubaneswar, alongside your friends and two officials from the Embassy of Nepal visiting the KIIT campus. We are all very sorry and saddened by the unfortunate incident that occurred on the night of the 16th.

For that, we extend our sincerest apologies. I am personally very sorry for what happened; it has already taken place. We have also taken necessary actions, and the government has acted as well. Classes are continuing peacefully at KIIT University, and some students from Nepal are already attending their classes.

So, I humbly advise all my KIITians from Nepal to please return to your university and attend your classes. I assure you that there will be no harm, whether it be in classes, on campus, or in terms of discipline.

I sincerely apologize to the parents of Nepali students pursuing their education at KIIT University.

Once again, my dear KIITians, be happy, and please come back soon. We are all eager to see you at KIIT University. Thank you very much."
