COVID Vaccination Of 15-18 Age Group In Odisha To Be Completed In A Month

Bhubaneswar: Odisha's COVID-19 immunisation programme for children aged 15 to 18 will begin on January 3 and would be finished within a month, according to state Health & Family Welfare Director Bijay Panigrahi.
In Odisha, a total of 23.65 lakh children are vaccine-eligible. Their registration will begin on January 1, according to Panigrahi.
With their student ID cards, children aged 15 to 18 can register on CoWIN or on-site beginning January 1.
They will receive the vaccine between the hours of 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. at designated locations. Vaccination centres will be set up at schools if necessary.
According to Panigrahi, the state Health Department has recommended parents to accompany their children to immunisation centres.
Covaxin will be the only option for people aged 15 to 18 years old, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. In Odisha, about 14 lakh doses of Covaxin are now available.
