Following a fight over a mobile phone, a man was allegedly attacked by his wife in a village in Odisha's Balangir district.

On Sunday, the incident occurred in Keserakela village, Puintala district.
According to sources, the injured man, Ganeswar Suna, has been admitted to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Balangir. His condition was described as critical.
According to reports, Suna's wife Iswari Kmar asked him for his phone, but he refused, claiming that the data pack had run out.
Suna fell asleep after a heated argument about the issue. An enraged Iswari allegedly attacked Suna while he was sleeping with a sharp vegetable cutter (paniki) and fled the house with her four-year-old daughter.
Iswari, who was born in Chhattisgarh, married Suna about six years ago.
Suna, who had suffered severe injuries, was rescued by villagers, who took him to the hospital.
