Wasim Jaffer resigns as head coach of Odisha Ranji team.
Bhubaneswar: The head coach of Odisha's Ranji team, Wasim Jaffer, has resigned. The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) informed the public of this on Saturday.
Jaffer has agreed to lead the Bangladesh Cricket Board's U-19 team as a coach.
After Jaffer resigned, the Cricket Advisory Committee reportedly engaged in multiple rounds of conversation with him before finally accepting his resignation.
On July 23, 2021, Jaffer was chosen to lead the Ranji squad for Odisha for a two-year tenure (the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons).
R Srikanth, who is now OCA's Technical Director, has been recommended by CAC to lead Odisha's senior men's team in 2022–2023.
