Balangir: On Thursday, vigilance officers raided the homes of Titilagarh ranger Shiba Prasad Nayak in Odisha's Bargarh on suspicion of possessing disproportionate assets.
Four vigilance teams are conducting simultaneous raids in Balangir, including the ranger's office, his government quarters at Titilagarh, and his father's house near Gandhi Stadium.
Under the directives of the special vigilance court, the anti-corruption teams of Balangir, Sambalpur, Bargarh, and Sonepur are conducting the raids.
So far, crores of rupees in land property and bank passbooks have been seized. During the raid, the vigilance department also seized some cash, according to the sources.
Notably, a complaint was made against him in 2021 while he was in Ulunda, Sonepur.
