Bhubaneswar: The government of Odisha has accelerated the process of identifying fraudulent schoolteachers.

Block Education Officers (BEOs) and District Education Officers (DEOs) have been instructed to examine the credentials of all schoolteachers and file a complaint against those who were appointed by submitting false certificates, according to Raghuram R Iyer, Director, Directorate of Higher Secondary Education.

“On the basis of FIRs filed against them, the state government had previously terminated a number of these instructors. The High Court had inquired the status of the FIRs after hearing a PIL, and the BEOs and DEOs had been directed to produce a report as a result,” Iyer added.

He stated that the Directorate had begun the procedure in response to claims that certain teachers had been employed based on the submission of forged certificates.
