Congress Shows Strength After Pradip Majhi’s Exit

Nabarangpur: In a show of force, Congressional leaders organised a massive march and a public conference on Sunday.
Following the recent departure from BJD of Pradeep Majhí, a former Nabarangpur MEP, the high-ranking party despatched a central team to reinforce its tribal base. The Central Team, which is on a state tour, first spoke out in a killing case by Mamita Meher and claimed the accused's death. Later in Odisha, he reassessed his plan before the key election in the panchaya next year.
Top party officials Narasingh Mishra, Tara Prashad Bahinipati, Ramesh Jena, and Chella Kumar, party leader of Odisha, told the competitors that Congress still holds firm in undivided Koraput.
Chella Kumar claimed on this occasion that the BJD administration failed to bring Mamita Meher to justice. The government failed. "Our senior leader Narasingh Mishra is willing to provide Mamita a lawyer's cover to fight for justice at the court, explaining the viewpoint of our party in the issue very well," Kumar stated.
Mishra claimed Congress will step up Mamita Meher's protests for justice, while Bahinipati said Majhi would not impact the party. Bahinipati remarked, "His (Majhi's) resignation will drive the tribes not to spare, nor will it motivate those who betrayed them.
Saptagiri Ulaka of the Congress stated the party is going to strive hard to get all fourteen seats here.
