Bhubaneswar: The State Health Service Director on Monday encouraged believers with Covid symptoms not to visit Puri during Rath Yatra as Covid instances in Odisha are steadily increasing.

If you have Covid symptoms, avoid going to Puri. Health Services Director Bijay Mohapatra advised viewers to watch the Rath Yatra on television, noting that masks will be required for the great festival in Puri.

Today, a health camp will be organised in Puri, and the health minister will assess the condition in advance of the impending Rath Yatra.

In the previous 24 hours, the State reported 69 Covid-19 positive instances.

Nine children under the age of 18 have the new infections. While confined individuals were responsible for 42 illnesses, local contacts were found to be responsible for the remaining 27 cases.
