Paradip: On Friday, a 10-year-old child was killed and his mother was critically injured after a truck collided with their two-wheeler at the Atharbanki terminal crossroads.
The woman, known as Neha Khandelwal, has been admitted to the hospital with a severe condition.
According to accounts, Neha is a private school teacher who was riding a Scooty home from school with her son at 1 p.m. During this moment, a truck rear-ended them in terminal square, causing the youngster to fall to the ground and the truck to run over him, crushing his head.
Police have taken the truck driver into custody.
