Actress Prakruti Mishra releases video statement in her defence

Bhubaneswar: Following a fight with his wife on the streets of Bhubaneswar, Tanmay Mohanty, aka Babushaan, announced in a statement the previous day that he would no longer work on films with Prakruti Mishra. On Sunday, the actress posted a video to her official Instagram account announcing the cancellation of the film in which they were set to reunite.
The co-producer was me. Producing it in many languages would have been one of the biggest initiatives in Odisha, she claimed.
When discussing the incident on Saturday that involved the actor's wife Trupti, Prakruti almost started to cry. "I'm not sure what she got out of the 'goondagardi,'" I said. Her father pulled me by my shirt as they arrived with eight goons. They made every effort to harrasse me. As it reflects their upbringing, I have nothing to say about it, she remarked.
The episode, she continued, was simply a reflection of the society we live in. People continued taking selfies as she was being harassed, she claimed, rather than responding to her cries for help.
She also forced girls to resist giving in in such circumstances. "I fought by myself and did so with grace and dignity. The police have received a complaint from my parents, and the legal process will proceed, she stated.
The actress continued in response to the claim that she was a housebreaker by saying, "Nobody can break anybody's house. Already broken, it. If Babushaan's wife is feeling so uneasy, it is preferable if she chains him up at home.
Prakruti added that the incident transformed her from a fictional character to a real-life heroine. She said, "I won't stop; I'll labour and shine even brighter."
Aparajita Mohanty, an actress and the mother of Ollywood star Babushaan, claimed earlier in the day that her son's involvement with unsavoury characters during the COVID-19 pandemic has destroyed him.
On Saturday, she and Triputi filed a complaint with the Kharavel Nagar Police, stating that Prakruti had a connection with her husband in order to advance her profession and meet her financial needs by giving him beer and marijuana.
