Bhubaneswar: Trupti Satpathy, the wife of Hollywood actor Babushaan, assaulted Prakruti Mishra, her husband, in broad daylight in Bhubaneswar on Saturday. She then accused Prakruti of causing problems in her marriage.
On Saturday, teacher Trupti went to the police station with her mother-in-law and actress Aparajita Mohanty to submit a report after Prakruti's mother Krushnapriya Mishra had already done so hours earlier after her daughter had been assaulted.
She claims in her lawsuit that things were going along smoothly in their marriage until Prakruti entered Babushaan's life and caused a disturbance.
"Prior to Prakruti's entrance, our marriage life was calm. Since two years ago, they have been dating. According to media reports, Trupti claimed that the woman had been threatening me with severe repercussions and blackmailing my husband.
She also claimed that Prakruti started dating Babushaan to advance her career, which she said suffered due to the lockdown.
Additionally, she said that the actress gave Babushaan booze and marijuana.
According to media sources, Prakruti said in the FIR that she had a connection with her spouse Tanmay Mohanty (Babushaan) to advance her profession and meet her financial demands by giving him beer, ganja, and other substances because her career was on the decline at the time due to the lockout.
According to the reports, Trupti wrote in the FIR, "My husband was in a drunken state 24 hours a day, he never returned home and he wasn't providing me with any financial and moral support."
She claimed that when she attempted to put a stop to it all, Prakruti threatened both her and her husband in a number of ways, including via extortion.
"My husband was living with Prakruti in a rented (hired) house in Satya Nagar, which is closer to my parents' home. When I went there this morning to check on my husband, I discovered that he and Prakruti were preparing to travel to Chennai, Trupti reportedly claimed.
She continued, "But I'm willing to give him another shot."
