5 policemen severely injured in road accident in Subarnapur

Subarnapur: A patrol vehicle collided with a roadside banyan tree en route to the Subalaya police station in Subarnapur district early this morning, critically injuring up to five officers.
They were admitted to Boudh district headquarters hospital (DHH) for treatment.
According to sources, the patrolling officers were on their way back to the police station when the mishap occurred near the Baurijor bridge on the Subalaya-Redhakhola route. The vehicle overturned on the roadside after colliding with a tree.
Though the cause of the accident is unknown, it is assumed that the driver had difficulty seeing due to darkness in the early morning hours, which caused the accident. All of the officers who were injured are currently being treated. Their condition is stable, and they will recover soon.
