Balasore: Two people were killed and two others were critically injured when a broiler-laden truck collided with a stationary dumper at College Chhak in Soro early this morning.
According to reports, the accident occurred while a truck carrying broiler chickens was traveling from Kolkata, West Bengal, to Khurda, Odisha. Though the exact cause of the accident is unknown, it is believed that the driver lost control of the wheels due to drowsiness.
The truck's driver and helper were both seriously injured. They were later declared dead in a hospital. The injured are currently being treated in a hospital.
Police have seized the vehicle, and an investigation has begun.
