Balasore: A tragic occurrence occurred on Friday during Rath Yatra celebrations in Balasore, Odisha, when the chariot of the sister deities collided with an 11-KV wire at Gudikhala mutt. One person was fatally injured, and eight others had severe injuries.
According to accounts, when devotees were dragging the chariot, a metallic component made touch with the high-tension wire.
Rescue workers transported the victims to the government hospital in Basta. Anil Kumar Sahu, one of them, was identified as being brought dead.
