Over 106 kg ganja seized in Nayagarh, 2 arrested

Nayagarh: On Saturday, the Special Task Force raided the Itamati area of Nayagarh district and apprehended two people in possession of more than 106 kg of ganja.
Jugal Nayak (29) of Bandhagada under Phiringia police limits in Kandhamal and Ranjit Bhoi (24) of village Phulbani were identified.
"During the search, over 106 kg of marijuana, an SUV, and other incriminating materials were recovered and seized from their possession." The STF stated that "a case has been registered with Itamati police for any necessary legal action."
The special campaign against narcotic drugs is still ongoing. Since 2020, the STF has seized more than 69 kg of Brown Sugar/Heroin, 202 grams of Cocaine, 114 quintals of Ganja/Marijuana, 750 grams of Opium, and arrested more than 171 drug dealers/peddlers, the STF further stated.
