The COVID scare has resurfaced, accompanied by a significant increase in daily infection over the last week. In the last three days, Odisha has reported 200 or more infections. With 200 cases on Thursday, the active tally surpassed 1,000 for the first time in six months. Between April 5 and 11, Sonepur had the highest weekly positivity rate in the state, at 10.8 percent. According to Ministry statistics, four other districts with a TPR of more than 5% are Sambalpur (9.6%), Sundargarh (9.1%), Balangir (7.6%), and Nabarangpur (5.4%).
