According to sources, a team from the Kharavela Nagar police station questioned DJ Azex's girlfriend for more than three hours at her home in the Janla area on the outskirts of the state capital.
The four-person team, which included two female police officers, paid her a visit to her home in the Janla area and questioned her for about three hours. However, no information about the interrogation is available.
The police are also expected to question the woman's male friend in connection with the death of the popular DJ. DJ Azex's family has named both in the FIR.
Meanwhile, the postmortem report revealed that DJ Azex died as a result of asphyxiation. He also had a hanging mark on his neck.
According to sources, police have also received his call records report, which could be crucial in the ongoing investigation into his death.
Since a case has been filed under Sections 306 (abettment of suicide) and 34 (crime committed by multiple people with the same intent), an investigation is underway to identify the abetter.
While all messages between the two have reportedly been deleted, he is said to have missed a video call made by his girlfriend that day. He'd also made the final call to her. He had been under mental stress for the previous 15 days after being slapped by her. According to sources, he had also transferred Rs 15,000 to her account and was planning to purchase a scooter for her.
Rahul, Azex's best friend, had previously blamed his death on a love triangle. He claimed Azex's girlfriend was having an affair with another man and that they were blackmailing him. However, the video, which was allegedly used to blackmail him, has yet to be found.
Azex, according to his family members, was inside his room on March 18 when the city experienced a thunderstorm. They knocked on his door around 10 p.m. after he had not been seen for a long time. When he did not respond to their calls, they broke down the door and discovered him hanging.
