Woman JE held taking Rs 5,000 bribe in Khordha

Khordha: On Wednesday, the junior engineer (JE), Begunia block in Khordha district, was caught in the act of receiving a bribe of Rs 5,000 by the Vigilance police.
Sanghamitra Sahoo has been named as the suspect.
Sources claim that Sanghamitra asked a beneficiary to pay a bribe so that he could pay a pending bill. There are searches going on after the trap.
A case (19/2022) was filed in this regard under Section 7 of the PC (Amendment) Act-2018.
Investigations against the accused are being conducted, according to a Vigilance official.
