Woman Gangraped in Sundargarh; Police Arrest 3 Accused

Sundergarh: Three people have been arrested for their suspected involvement in the rape of a woman in Odisha's Sundargrh district.
According to sources, the woman has been living alone since her husband abandoned her some years ago and earning a living by selling fish in Sundargarh town. At around 8 p.m. on Monday, she was heading home from the market when four miscreants met her on a deserted road in Kopasingha, on the outskirts of town.
They took her to a remote location and raped her. She managed to travel to Sundargarh Sadar police station and make a complaint about the occurrence after the miscreants, who were drunk, left her.
In response to the complaint, authorities opened an investigation and filed a case. Three people have been arrested in connection with the crime, while the fourth is still at large. According to the sources, the incident is being investigated further.
