Three trains that run through Odisha will resume service this month

Bhubaneswar: The Indian Railways has decided to reintroduce three special trains on various dates this month.

Visakhapatnam-Amritsar-Visakhapatnam Hirakud Special, Puri-Howrah-Puri Jagannath Special, and Khurda Road-Puri-Khurda Road Passenger Special will all resume service.

From September 11 to September 15, the tri-weekly Visakhapatnam-Amritsar Hirakud Special will travel from Visakhapatnam to Amritsar. In place of traditional coaches, modern Linke-Hofmann-Busch (LHB) coaches will be used.

Every Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday at 0025 hours, and every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday at 2355 hours, this train will depart from Visakhapatnam. Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur, Bilaspur, Katni Murwara, Jhansi, Agra Cant, New Delhi, and Jalandhar are the key stops.

From September 15, the Puri-Howrah Special will run at 2240 hours from Puri and at 1905 hours from Howrah. On both directions, there will be traffic jams at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur, Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore, Basta, Jaleswar, Belda, Kharagpur, Mechheda, and Santragachhi.

From September 20, the Puri-Khurda Road Passenger Special will depart Puri at 1745 hours and Khurda Road at 0725 hours. It will run between Puri and Khurda Road via Malatipatapur, Janakedeipur, Sakhigopal, Birpurusottampur, Jenapur Road, Delang, Kanas Road, Motari, and Haripurgram in both directions.
