Restoration Of Elephant Skeleton: Police Arrest Forester

Cuttack: After the STF discovered an elephant skeleton in the Cuttack district of Odisha, one of the foresters who had fled was apprehended on Monday.

In June, the STF discovered the elephant's skeleton in the Gopapur forest area of the Badamba range. Numerous people were detained by the police in this regard. However, the two foresters Manoj Das and Pradip Parida, who were also sought for their alleged role in the death of the elephant, have eluded capture.

Later, the court granted Pradip anticipatory bail in two different cases. On Monday, he had arrived to report for duty in the Khuntuni forest range.

When Khntuni DFO learned about it, she notified the police, who arrived at the office and took Pradip into custody. On Tuesday, the court received the forester.

Despite a police effort to find him, the other forester, Manoj, is still missing.
