Puri: In connection with allegations of accumulating disproportionate assets, Odisha Vigilance authorities on Tuesday conducted simultaneous searches of premises connected to an Assistant Engineer in the Rural Development Department.
Raids are being carried out at the residences and workplaces of Assistant Engineer Dusmanta Dehury, who is assigned to the Puri district's Nimapara.
Assets discovered thus far:
28 plots including 7 plots in prime area of Bhubaneswar and 21 plots in prime area of Dhenkanal. Approx registration value shown as Rs 1.45 crore. However, market value likely to be much higher.
* Cash Rs 1.58 lakh
* One triple-storey building over plot No. 04/6307, Khata No. 619/1194 at VIM-442, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar.
* Two single-storey buildings at Dhenkanal town.
* One single-storey building at Gunadei village, Dhenkanal.
Vigilance Technical Wing is carrying out detailed measurement and assessment of the buildings.
* Bank & insurance deposits worth over Rs 47.65 lakh.
* One four-wheeler worth Rs 11 lakh
* Two two-wheelers.
