Pradhan unhappy as PM photo finds no place in Bhubaneswar-Rourkela flight inauguration ad

Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan slammed Odisha's BJD government on Saturday for its attitude toward the Centre, accusing it of giving Prime Minister Narendra Modi proper recognition during significant events and for the state's growth.
The top BJP leader chastised the state government for omitting the Prime Minister's image from posters, banners, and adverts for significant occasions such as the launch of a commercial flight between Bhubaneswar and Rourkela.
Noting that Modi had evoked the Cuttack Bali Jatra from Indonesia, he claimed that the state government had not even thanked him.
"It is sad that Modi Ji's photograph was not included. "Regardless of political differences, when it comes to Odisha's interests, we must all work together," the Union Education Minister said after the inaugural Bhubaneswar-Rourkela flight.
Dharmendra emphasized that the Prime Minister has been important in establishing several projects for the development of Odisha, but that the state government has entirely neglected his involvement.
He said that the state government failed to acknowledge recent events such as the inauguration of the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela and the start of the Bhubaneswar-Rourkela flight on Saturday as part of the UDAN scheme or the inauguration of the Deloitte Centre in Bhubaneswar.
Odisha's Science and Technology Minister Ashok Panda responded by saying that India has a federal system of government and that Odisha has an equal stake in the operation of the aviation service as the Centre.
Dharmendra accused the Odisha government of making minimal effort to thank the Prime Minister and the involvement of the Centre, claiming that no billboard or banner of PM Narendra Modi was present at any of the big events.
Odisha should not have done this. The ruling BJD should think about it and appreciate the Centre's involvement in the State's current achievement," Pradhan added.
In the similar spirit, senior BJP leader and Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi stated that while the Centre has provided funding, there is no portrait of the Prime Minister on any of the hoardings or billboards.
