Padma Shri Kamala Pujari’s Health Condition Worsens, Shifted To Cuttack SCB

Cuttack: In a serious condition on Wednesday, social activist and Padma recipient Kamala Pujari was transported to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, Odisha.
She was sent from the Jeypore district hospital in Koraput, Odisha, to the SCB hospital in Cuttack.
She had a fever and loose stools for two to three days straight before being taken to Jeypore DHH on Sunday. She was transported to the hospital in an ambulance by a female health worker from Patraput.
2019 saw the awarding of the Padma Shri to a tribal woman from the Koraput village of Patraput for reserving hundreds of native varieties of paddy. She promoted organic farming in Koraput in addition to collecting a number of endangered and unusual crop varieties, including paddy, turmeric, til, and black cumin.
