Old man rescued from well in Jeypore

Jeypore: On Tuesday, firefighters rescued a septuagenarian from a well in Koraput district.
The man, named as Rupadhar Halwa of Umri village in Jeypore block, had gone to the well in the morning, according to sources. While brushing his teeth near the well, his head began to spin and he fell into the deep well, reportedly owing to elevated blood pressure.
Later, some villagers discovered him pleading for aid in the well and contacted the Jeypore Fire Brigade. Firefighters hurried to Umri and used a ladder to securely pull Halwa, 75, from the well.
He was admitted to the hospital at the district headquarters. According to hospital sources, his health was stable after treatment.
