Odisha government plans 24 new ITIs and science centres around the state

Bhubaneswar: The state government plans to open 24 Industrial Technical Institutes (ITIs) in the near future to provide more training in a variety of trades.

Premananda Nayak, Minister of Skill Development and Technical Education, stated this during Question Hour in the Assembly on Saturday.

Odisha currently has 49 government and 418 private ITIs, according to the ministry. In addition, the government will create science centres in each of the 30 districts.

“In phases, teachers who deal with the subject will be sent to Bangalore for training. The first set of instructors will depart for Bangalore on September 24, according to Science and Technology Minister Ashok Panda.
