Bhubaneswar: A four-day special campaign against traffic law violations was started by the Odisha Police on Tuesday.

According to a statement released by State Transport Authority, the drive will be conducted from 9 am to 2 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm on all National Highways and State Highways till October 22 in accordance with a directive from the Supreme Court Committee regarding road safety (STA).

A careful watch will be kept on anyone driving without a helmet, using a phone while driving, not buckled up in a seatbelt, or driving too fast over these four days.

If the two-wheeler driver is discovered to be operating without a licence, vehicles will be impounded. The warning further stated that if a driver is seen operating a vehicle without a helmet, their licence will be suspended for three months.
