During this time, isolated locations in the Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Balangir, Kandhamal, Gajapati, and Ganjam districts are also likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm), while Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, and Angul are also likely to experience heavy rainfall.

As orange and yellow warnings continue for the next three days, severe rainstorms are anticipated in a few state districts.

The MeT officer added that it is likely that the clearly defined low-pressure area over the northwest and adjacent westcentral Bay of Bengal off the coasts of Odisha and adjacent north Andhra Pradesh will concentrate into a depression over the next 48 hours and move west-northwestward across Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
