Balasore MP Pratap Sarangi referred to Bhubaneswar AIIMS

Bhubaneswar: On Tuesday, BJP MP and former Union Minister Pratap Sarangi was referred to AIIMS, Bhubaneswar for further treatment after being discharged from Odisha's Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital (FMMCH) in Balasore.
Sarangi was taken to FMMCH owing to chest trouble, according to sources.
"For the last seven to eight days, I had been visiting the hospital as I was feeling chest trouble. I was also taking medicine. But I had a fever the day before yesterday. I went to the hospital yesterday and was admitted on the advise of the physicians. "They (the doctors) referred me to AIIMS, Bhubaneswar today," he informed the journalists.
Meanwhile, Dulalsen Jagdev, the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) of Balasore, told a press conference that Sarangi's health is stable.
"He insists that he is doing OK and that he does not need to travel to AIIMS. But, because he is our MP, we are hoping for a rapid recovery. We're sending him to AIIMS since he's a heart patient and will be treated better there. "He is accompanied by a doctor team from the FMMCH and other officials," Jagdev added.
Notably, in October 2021, Sarangi tested positive for COVID-19.
