Another elephant dies in Odisha jungle

Dhenkanal: On Friday, a tusker was discovered dead in the Bhuban forest range in Kamakhyanagar, in the Dhenkanal district of Odisha.

According to the local residents, the elephant is thought to have been electrocuted while eating paddy that was produced on farmland close to the woodlands. The cadaver was recovered with a wire lying nearby.

After receiving word from the locals, representatives from the forest department travelled to the scene and started an investigation to determine what killed the pachyderm.

It is important to note that another tusker was discovered dead on Monday in Mayurbhanj close to Dangadiha in the Thakurmunda range of the Karanjia forest division.
