Keonjhar: On Wednesday night in the Keonjhar district of Odisha, a newborn baby boy who had been left behind by his parents was rescued from a roadside near Mithigaon under the jurisdiction of Soso police station.

According to accounts, a group of young people from Sadha village were returning from Mahuda village after attending a feast late last night when they discovered the infant boy sobbing with his umbilical cord still attached by the roadside.

The youths quickly informed the 108 ambulance service about this situation.

The infant was saved by the 108 ambulance service's paramedics and taken to Anadndpur Sub-Divisional Hospital. According to reports, the infant's status was stable.

After being alerted, police arrived at the scene and started trying to find the parent who had left the child.
