3 students died in a flooding at a UPSC coaching center basement in Delhi. Rescue operations have been completed.
The Delhi Police, Fire Department, and NDRF conducted rescue operations.
Three students were found dead after the basement of Rau’s IAS, a UPSC coaching centre in Rajendra Nagar, was flooded due to a nearby drain bursting on Saturday. The bodies were recovered from the building by the police, fire services, and NDRF. "A drain burst at one point, causing this issue. Pumps have been placed to remove the water. If it had been due to lack of desilting, water would have accumulated in other buildings as well, but only the basement of one building has been submerged due to the drain bursting at one point," said AAP’s Rajinder Nagar MLA Durgesh Pathak.
Meanwhile, in light of the stand-off, at least four CMs from the INDIA bloc decided to boycott the NITI Aayog meeting in Delhi, including Telangana’s Revanth Reddy, Karnataka’s Siddaramaiah, Himachal Pradesh’s Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, and Tamil Nadu’s CM M K Stalin. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar is also not attending the meeting.
